Full function progress bar component

We can use this component for any state of loading, from 0 to 100%.

  1. Create a parent frame and make sure “Clip Content” is checked.
  2. Create a child frame with auto-layout applies for a text layer.
  3. Change text to define different loading states when using.


Dynamic Tooltip with Autolayout

  1. Building your blocks with top triangle, content and bottom triangle.
  2. Apply the Autolaout for the whole frame component.
  3. Place the constant where we want to use it.
  4. Adjust spacer of the triangle by typing any text inside the textbox of the constant. Hide/Show top/bottom triangle base on the position.

Copy an icon from Sketch

We don’t need to import the whole sketch file to Figma just to copy an icon. We can copy an element from Sketch to Figma directly.

  1. Select element in Sketch
  2. Right-click and choose “Copy SVG Code”
  3. In Figma, paste it with “⌘ + V”
  4. Enjoy the real vector element.


Hide UI for wider view

Hide Figma’s UI to have a widest view of your whole design. An indispensable action for me all the time. Press “⌘ + .” or “⌘ + \”

In Figma, union and corner radius sometime bring a big joy to us.

Change shift nudge to 8px

8px grid system is the most popuplar grid system on UI design. Be default, when we press “Shift + Up/Down Arrow”, the element will move 10px. To change the shift nudge to 8px:

  1. Preferences > Nudge Amount
  2. Change Big nudge amout to 8


Paste above a layer

The fastest way to bring an element to a dedicated position, by paste above on layer.

  1. Copy an element with “Copy + C”
  2. Select a layer
  3. Press “⌘ + Shift + V”


Hide other peoples' cursor

View other people’s cursors is cool. But sometimes, it’s scary and affects our productivity. We can hide them by going to View -> Uncheck “Show Multiplayer Cursors” or press “Option + ⌘ + \”
